Poll: Would you Sign a Petition to Recall College Station City Council?
Thanks to those who voted. Please feel free to share it. This isn’t scientific at all, but the more vote cast, the more accurate it is.

I can’t agree more. Too many people are willing to gritch about the Council, but don’t even vote. Beyond that, attend the meetings. Demand that Workshops/Executive Sessions follow the Open Meetings Laws. The Council cannot discuss the agenda behind closed doors, though they have admitted at council meetings that they discuss and decide things in Executive Session. Make your voice heard on issues. They won’t listen, but at least they can no longer privately run yor life without backlash. Some may decide your annoyance is too much and not run again!

Actually, only 2 seats are up for election. That is not enough to make a difference on the council.
We have an amazing gentleman running for Council. His name is Jess Fields, a local businessman. He will make an excellent Councilman. I’ll be writing posts about him in the near future. Listen to his interview on WTAW. I haven’t been impressed at all by the other person running. He sounds exactly like the current Councilmen. I’ve been told he goes to church, but I bet that’s the case with some of our other councilmen. Not a reason to vote for someone, in my opinion.
Don’t be discouraged. Replacing two on the council could make a difference. We have one pretty good council member now, and one who seems to follow the group. Two new ones, one good one, and one follower makes four out of seven. This could be enough to turn the tide.
